Pride and Prejudice is a passionate re-creation of early 19th century life – a world where a mother's role in life is to marry off successfully her daughters to the most eligible wealthy husbands. The relationship between Mr Darcy, a wealthy single man, and Elizabeth Bennet, a spirited young woman, provides the core of this emotional and compelling story. Amid a host of delightful characters, and against a background of grand stately homes, this famous romance runs its rocky course.

Returning to the original Super 16mm film negatives, this timeless drama has been painstakingly restored frame-by-frame. The negatives were ultrasonically cleaned and then log scanned using the unique FAB Tech process. Shot-by-shot colour correction work took place, including adjustments to the contrast and colour, followed by frame-by-frame de-spotting and picture restoration.
The result is a beautifully restored visual delight with rich and vivid colours plus previously unseen details from 16mm negatives, such as lace and fabric texture, revealed for the first time. The sound quality has also been enhanced by creating a 5.1 audio from the original sound tracks.

Includes 30 minute documentary.
